The Lake Oswego community’s overwhelming generosity — contributing time and/or financial resources — was instrumental in our successful defense to Save Cooks Butte!
We, once again, protected this natural habitat (for the 3rd time) as conveyed by John and Marjorie Emery to the City of Lake Oswego for all Lake Oswego residents and visitors.
We MUST NOW ensure Cooks Butte and all natural parks have LEGAL PROTECTION with sensible development limitations for generations to enjoy these natural habitats for years to come.
We Met Our Goal!
Expenses we incurred to Save Cooks Butte:
- Collateral (eg. information flyers, petition forms)
- Services (eg. web and email hosting)
- Marketing (eg. advertising, posters, mailers, handouts, yard signs)
- Public Events (eg. space rental)
- Legal (eg. counsel and advice)
The financial burden for this 100% grassroots effort was shouldered by individuals and neighbors throughout our community. Our GoFundMe made donations accessible to everyone. We raised approximately $12,500 in total…meeting our fundraising goal and helped to pay all outstanding expenses!
Your generosity demonstrated the Lake Oswego community’s value for our natural parks.
