{"id":6582,"date":"2024-10-31T00:32:54","date_gmt":"2024-10-31T00:32:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.loveloparks.org\/?page_id=6582"},"modified":"2024-10-31T00:46:29","modified_gmt":"2024-10-31T00:46:29","slug":"public-comment-stevens-family","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.loveloparks.org\/index.php\/causes\/stevens-meadow\/public-comment\/public-comment-stevens-family\/","title":{"rendered":"Stevens Family"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-5d30ae1d5bda8f311df11d5aa243a7bd wp-block-paragraph\">The City of Lake Oswego has placed Measure 3-618 on the ballot asking voters to sacrifice a portion of the hard fought charter-protected Stevens Meadow Nature Preserve for a road improvement project that failed to consider design options that would have avoided destruction of this natural area. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.loveloparks.org\/index.php\/causes\/stevens-meadow\/measure-3-618\/\" title=\"\">The LoveLOParks Steering Committee is voting &#8216;NO&#8217; on Measure 3-618<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stevens Meadow was made possible by the generosity of the Stevens Family who deeded the lands that makes up this natural area to the City of Lake Oswego in 2003 and 2019. The Stevens had the foresight to protect this natural area from developer interests through deed terms and conservation easements.
