The Deputy City Attorney expressed to the DRC that City staff believes that City Charter Chapter X – Park Development Limitation is not applicable as “standards and criteria” for land use decisions by the DRC.
Lake Forest Neighborhood Association, LoveLOParks Steering Committee, and several residents presented compelling oral opposition testimony invoking voter-ratified City Charter Chapter X – Park Development Limitation as applicable.
Due to City record discrepancies (redactions, missing pages) identified by Lake Forest NA, a continuance was requested and accepted. The continued hearing date is December 18, 2023, with the hearing to begin at 7:00 pm. New written public testimony will be accepted until 12:00 pm on December 18, 2023.
